Coldra Court Hotel

Location of hotel was good as close to motorway Welcoming on reception but they don't let you know that you can get discounts in the restaurant with their card and membership Room was a good size and heating can be adjusted to suit however, one bed side light was broke and a cupboard inside collapsed, not what I would expect at the price paid Bathroom was a good size, very clean and fresh smelling, super shower and good hot water Very few places locally for evening meals so limited on both choice and price as the hotel is expensive, £20+ for a burger is a bit rich ! Good selection of wines beers and spirits also cocktails and alcohol free's Swimming pool was clean and nice temperature also jacuzzi not over hot or foaming with too many bubbles

Lovely hote, very accommodatingl, wonderful staff, fabulous room was very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and evening meal. A very relaxing stay, my daughter came with me, she has Downs Syndrome, it was a birthday treat from us, they treated her like a queen and she loved it. We will definitely be returning. 10/10.

We had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant, and a big part of it was thanks to Alex, the young man who served us at our table. He was extremely kind, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. He recommended excellent dishes, was quick, and always had a smile on his face. You can really tell he enjoys what he does and truly cares about the guests. Thank you, Alex, for the impeccable service! We will definitely be coming back.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the moment we were seated, Gabby made us feel welcome and well looked after. She was incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive, always checking in at the right moments and ensuring everything was exactly as we wanted it. Gabby was also extremely respectful and knowledgeable, coming to the table full of thoughtful recommendations. It was clear she knew the menu inside and out, and her suggestions truly enhanced our meal. Any questions we had were answered confidently, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble for her — she handled every request with ease and a positive attitude. The service overall was impressively quick, with food arriving promptly while still feeling relaxed and unrushed. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor, so compliments are absolutely due to the chef. Each dish reflected care, skill, and attention to detail. All in all, this was a fantastic experience made even better by outstanding service. Gabby is a real credit to the team!

Lovely stay at coldra court. Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. All staff were super helpful. Restaurant food was tasty, albeit quite expensive. The pool was closed for maintenance, however we were booked into another spa at Celtic manor, which was lovely.

We had a delicious meal at The Rib at the Coldra Hotel. Our waiter Alex was FABULOUS and attended to our every need with humour and grace. I had a sirloin steak which is the best I have had in a long time - cooked medium rare and perfect. Thank you so much! Really made my Dad's 70th

We recently stayed at Coldra Court Hotel and overall had a really pleasant experience, worthy of a solid 4 stars. From the moment we arrived, Joel at reception made us feel incredibly welcome. He explained everything clearly, had such a lovely energy, and couldn’t do enough to help. As a bonus, he kindly upgraded us to a superior suite which had two double beds, a TV, shower, and a nice view overlooking the courtyard — a great start to our stay. The room itself was very clean and very spacious. There was a good variety of tea, coffee, and biscuits provided in the room which was a nice touch. However, we were slightly disappointed to notice some small holes in the bedding, which took away from the otherwise tidy presentation. The pillows were comfortable, but the beds weren’t the most comfortable for sleeping, especially if you’re used to a super king. Despite being in a quieter area of the hotel, there was quite a bit of noise from people running up and down the corridors, shouting, and knocking on doors late at night, which wasn’t ideal. A few things to know before you go: the pool, sauna, and steam room at Coldra Court are currently out of order until late March. You can still use the gym, and the hotel provides access to their sister hotel, Celtic Manor. We used the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi there, but it was quite busy with families. We later found out we could have used the Dylan gym instead, which is more member-focused, quieter, and for lane swimming with no children allowed — worth knowing in advance. Parking is available on site, but it costs £13.50 overnight, which felt a bit steep when you’re already staying at the hotel. They also take a £50 deposit on arrival in case you open a bar or restaurant tab, but this is refunded after checkout. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but did spend time in the bar. Drinks are on the pricier side — around £5 for non-alcoholic drinks, £7 for a pint, £3.50 for a half, £7 for non-alcoholic cocktails, and £10 for cocktails. That said, it’s a nice space to relax and watch football or rugby, and there was a live singer at 9pm which created a good atmosphere. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out at 11am. A small but appreciated touch was the staff providing a complimentary razor and shaving cream when I realised I’d forgotten mine. They also offer other complimentary items on request such as shower caps, shower gel, and toiletries if you forget anything, which is very helpful. Overall, Coldra Court offers a clean, spacious stay with excellent staff and good facilities (even if some are temporarily unavailable). A few minor issues stopped it from being a full 5 stars, but we still had an enjoyable visit and would consider returning.

Hotel was gorgeous. Rooms were comfy and food was just wow . I got home after my stay and I’m still thinking about the food ! I wish I caught her name but there was a 20ish blonde receptionist and she was lovely , was on the 13th of Feb around 6pm . Give her a raise !
